Cornell Penthouse

The Cornell Penthouse’s generous foyer greets guests and serves as a transition point between Kitchen, Dining, and Living spaces with hardwood flooring accented by wool area rugs. The Living area features a wall mount 65” Smart HDTV, a custom sectional sleeper sofa with a queen mattress, and access to a cozy terrace with lounge seating 22 floors above the city. Opposite the Living area is a Dining area featuring another 65” Smart HDTV with walnut buffet and an eight-seat dining table adjacent to it – making this the perfect space for intimate meetings or special occasions.

The spacious master king-sized bedroom features a custom wall-to-wall walnut and upholstery headboard with integrated sconces, reading lamps, uplighting, and convenient charging ports. The custom millwork closets provide guests ample storage, while an upholstered chair and desk with integral power provide an optimal workspace for business travelers. Bathrooms inspire a sense of serenity with relaxed tones in the terrazzo countertops, marble floor and ceramic wall tile in the walk-in shower. Double sink vanity, backlit mirrors, and custom fixtures from Jaclo & Toto ensure form matches functionality.

The curated artwork collection features custom pieces including:

  • Bedroom headboard artwork series “Visage No. 8 & Visage No. 12” by artist Leigh Wells combines collage, mixed media and found vintage paper to engage in a dialogue with our inner complexity. The resulting artworks challenge, in their way, simplistic world views, revealing a curiosity about the nature of consciousness and human relationships. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and Harper’s Magazine.
  • The Foyer artwork “Maze I” is a playful abstract piece reminiscent of a board game or maze. Your eye follows the shapes and colors as they twist and turn around the composition. Furthermore, the bold color palette is striking and unexpected, adding sophistication to the work. Melanie Mikecz is an artist and illustrator specializing in a digital mixed media style that charms children and adults alike. Originally hailing from Wisconsin, she earned a B.F.A in Visual Communications from the Washington University School of Art in St. Louis.
  • The Livingroom artwork “Good Things Take Time” is a meditative exercise: slowed down and carefully colored, embracing the quiet of activity. In a world of instant gratification with a constant stream of media at our fingertips, it serves as a reminder to slow down and to appreciate the journey. Artist Kimberly Young is a graphic designer and artist based in San Francisco.
