Affinia Hotels' Pajama Drive Helps Comfort The Homeless
October 1st kicks off the Affinia Hotels' Comforthon in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C, and is designed to comfort guests and our community along with our other great partners Ben & Jerry’s and Lands' End.
During October's "Comforthon," each hotel will be providing various comfort enhancing activities for guests. Affinia Manhattan will serve warm cookies at check-in and schedule family movie nights throughout the month. The Affinia Chicago will offer special comfort items on its Candy Bar menu and the Affinia 50 will host Sunday night football in its den with light snacks.
October 1st also marks the launch of Affinia Hotel's year-long Pajama Drive inviting guests and the public to drop off pajamas at each of its hotels in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. All donated pajamas are laundered and distributed to former homeless men and women who have transitioned from the street to housing facilities owned and managed by Common Ground, whose mission is to end homelessness through the development of supportive housing and other research-based practices.
